Statement of Faith

The church affirms the Holy Bible, composed of the scriptures in the Old and New Testaments, as the inspired and inerrant word of God, the only objective foundation for the understanding and practice of the Christian faith, and the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind. Although it is not binding, the church subscribes to the doctrinal statements contained in The Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Core Values

Simple

True spiritual fruit does not come from activity or a busy schedule. It comes from abiding in the love of Christ and the Word of Christ. As a church, we work to create a simple schedule that removes busyness and distraction so that we can choose the good portion of abiding in the love of Christ and the Word of Christ. (John 15:1-11 / Luke 10:38-42)

Biblically Grounded

God’s Word has the final word on all things, and it is the most reliable and trustworthy lens to interpret our life and experiences. God’s word grounds us in the midst of a shifting culture and landscape. As a result, all of our gatherings are saturated and grounded with what God has revealed about himself through the written Word. (2 Peter 1:16-21 / 2 Timothy 3:16)

Prayerfully Dependent

Prayer is a transfer of trust to God’s sufficiency from our own. As a church we desire for our prayers to be marked primarily by desperation (“this is something that I need to do”), not discipline (“this is something that I should do.”). We believe that God is glorified through persistent and bold prayers. (Luke 11:1-13)

Joyful Servants

In light of Christ’s mercies to us, we are motivated and empowered to joyfully and sacrificially use our time, talents and treasure serve the church and those in need. Serving imitates Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many. (Romans 12:1-8; Mark 10:45)

Unified Family

We believe that the gospel of Jesus unifies all people, and breaks down the dividing wall of hostility that is present in our current age. As a result, the beauty of the church is that it is a multi-generational family that consist of people from different backgrounds, ages, ethnicities, and social-economic status, who all come together as members of the household of God. (Ephesians 2:11-22)

Life on Life Discipleship

We believe that community is an indispensable component of discipleship. Life on life discipleship is inviting someone into your life and coming alongside them in their journey of growth with Jesus. It models discipleship after Jesus’ ministry, which was incarnational and relational by nature. (1 Thessalonians 2:7-8, Matthew 4:19)
