Baptism
Baptism is a church’s act of affirming and symbolizing a believer's union with Christ by immersing them in water, and believers’ act of publicly committing themselves to Christ and his people. At Hillcrest we want to equip you to do the work of ministry so that the body at Hillcrest is built up in love (Ephesians 4:12-16) and so that others are introduced to a life-giving relationship found in Jesus. God has given a variety of spiritual gifts to his church for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:1-11). It is our desire to help connect you to one of our Serve Teams so that you can begin using your gifts for God's glory and the good of others.
Membership
Church membership is about a church taking responsibility for you and you taking responsibility for the church. It is our way of identifying and affirming who joins together in covenant community at Hillcrest.
